Calling Ali a coward is ridiculous. Racist, on the other hand...

ok, I was just going on what the OP said. ALi basically didn't do his research, no surprise.

    thanks for clarifying.

It is true that Williams's career went down hill after the terrible incident. After all, he had defeated Ernie Terrell and fought Eddie Machen to a draw so that he sure had been a top contender. But the question here was did Ali have power? He certainly did.

Foreman was EXAUSTED. Remember, Foreman was also knocked down by the featherfisted Jimmy Young. Frazier took hundreds of shots and his eyes were closed. Futch didn't want a blind sitting duck take any more shots. He pummeled Quary and stopped him on cuts. Quary was never staggered. 195 lb. Spinks was never badly hurt. This same Spinks crashed in 1 rd. to Coetzee and was kod by the moderately powerful Larry Holmes. Lyle was similarly exhausted like Foreman.

In sum, Muhammad Ali was a great boxer and tactician. He was not a hard puncher.

Do some of you fools believe that is all about one or two punch power? Ffs look at how many of these f.u.c.k.wits throw bombs and miss. Then look at Ali in his prime, and see how many he threw and LANDED. Thats why he KO'd people because he HURT them with a lot of punches. He didn't try to take their heads off with one IDIOT fvcking punch.

Jesus Christ, it makes you wonder how stupid people can be.

And for the benefit of the above poster, the reason the imbecilic Foreman was exhausted is because he was too stupid to know he was stupid, trying to kill Ali with every idiotic punch.

Nothing you just said gives any evidence Ali was a hard puncher.

Put a young Muhammad Ali in with David Haye's opposition and people would be calling him a huge puncher

Perhaps not, but his 60% KO ratio doesn't say he was a soft puncher, now does it?

Here we go, spouting the same old bull****.

Heavyweights from back in the days were CWs etc etc

Last time I checked, two of the most successful heavyweights of this era were cruiserweights.

Did David Haye not move up and crack Valuevs chin?

Well I guess I'd rather watch cruiserweights than today's real heavyweights. Lol

None at the top today who capture the imagination. I'm hoping that Anthony Joshua could be the real deal, though.
