Terrible thread, or at least, a terrible way to ask a multifaceted question. For one, comparing these two fighters is like comparing SRR to Jake Lamotta. Clearly, the outcome of the matchup is not limited to one single punch, be it harder, faster, loopier, straighter, or whatever. Ali rarely settled down on his punches, instead preferring to practice the sweet science of"Hit-white-not-being-hit". So, usually as he punched, he constantly created angles designed to avoid any counter-punch. When he did settle down, we see the results with his late round KO of George Foreman. Adamek? Well, the comparison can be discussed for grins and giggles, but realistically, besides Ali, he's a bum.
no. Ali would be 6"3 or so. However tall he was he certainly wasn't a small HW. just because he didn't weigh a lot and actually stayed in shape doesnt mean he was small. and he had a very long reach. so im going to disagree

I think your Youtube vids answer your own question, Ali had good power even when he wasn't set to punch, he knocked Cleveland down going backwards. This thread is stupid, no comparison. 37 knockouts for Ali, the hardest punching HW ever is one of them, Foreman, he retired Frazier on his stool, c'mon this is ridiculous.
You cant be for real with this terrible thread! Simply look at the level of comp. and compare the two...Ali didnt have the one punch power but he had power to keep his opponents honest! **** thread.
CW limit is 200, a lot guys in 60' and 70' had similar weight, also Williams (someone said about Patterson who was 188!!). Ali didn't knocked down Frazier whom Foreman knocked down twice. So Frazier wasn't so iron chined He ko Foreman...but tired Foreman. Imo Foreman knocked out himself.
Ali had very bad hands in the second part of his career. That is why there was a lot of slapping and poking. I remember reading he was always soaking them in hot candle wax!
