foreman was clearly taller than 6´3, lyle was 6´3 and foreman was taller, you can see foreman with bowe and lewis in a video on youtube and bowe was just a bit taller and foreman looked wider of shoulders

I met Foreman on a book tour in Dallas.

    He was huge.

And one of his sons (a George) was even bigger.

To me, it seems that Ali was about 6'-2 1/2"...or even closer to 6'-3"...maybe a hair taller than Norton..maybe...and Foreman seemed to me to be close to 6'-4". Foreman is definitely taller than Ali. Holmes seems a clear 6'-3".

Foreman was the boss physically over all those guys in terms of physical strength...Ali was able to deal with him through intelligent use of his own strength, but Foreman was clearly the stronger man physically.

There are a lot of bull**** heights thrown around in boxing but Ali's height (whatever it really was) made more sence compared to a lot of other listings. He dwarfed Patterson who was the shortest 6 footer of all time.

Before Ali 6'1'' was a popular height for heavyweights. Ali was a bit taller than them and whether those that followed actually were as tall as Muhammad or not 6'3'' became the new classic heavyweight standard for any heavyweight over 6 foot.

When categorizing the heights of heavyweights I tend to use the "a tall 6' 3" or a short 6'3" or tall 6'1" or short 6'1" maxim since so many champions are listed as either one or the other with just Marciano, Tyson and Frazier as being listed outside. Then you have the giants like Bowe, Lewis and the Klits who are all either a tall 6'5" or a short 6'7" but over 6'4" a height nobody ever seems to be anymore.

6'7" is hot right now for tall heavyweights regardless of what they really are (most cases 6'5" but since all the 6'1" guys list themselves as 6'3""....) its totaly in vogue right now and has become the new 6'3".

When did you and your friend meet Ali? People tend to loose a few cm's of height with age. Posture is also a factor; I slouch a bit, but when I have my height measured, I stand up straight and am a bit more than 6'2, though the way I usually walk makes me look like I'm a bit below. Etc. etc.

Or maybe he's trying to gain some extra legacy by making himself look smaller so he can say that it is not just size or whatever :D

Look at the size of their fists in each of these photographs. Ali's are noticeably smaller than Foreman's and Frazier's. In an appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Robert Blake [not a big guy] asked Ali to hold his fist against Blake's own. They were surprisingly close in size despite how much bigger Muhammad was, and Ali admitted his lack of hand size posed problems for him in boxing. [On the American gridiron, the 6'6" 270 pound Daunte Culpepper also had very small hands for a man his size, and he was very prone to fumbling the ball as a result.]

PSHHH!! if Foreman used steroids, weight training, and modern nutrition like Vitali did, then he would be much bigger! Height included! :deal
