Well, I just got through watching Foreman v Coetzer again. Coetzer was always billed as far back as I can remember as being 6'4", and he and George looked identical in height. So for me, Foreman is/was at least 6'3", and maybe 6'4".
Yeah, but a lot of the guys you use as reference points may not be their listed heights either. And I"m sure most guys/people round their heights anyways; and boxers probably list their heights in boxing shoes, which give a little lift. Not that it makes that much difference, but again, if we are talking accuracy and REAL heights, then we have to factor all of this in.
Which guy had the bigger wrist or bigger ankle measurement? Frame size is generally determined by wrist or ankle size, or even measuring the distance between the two bones of the elbow.
his chin and shoulders were clearly higher than lyle´s foreman was taller. lyle was 6´3 and foreman close to 6´4
yeah it is. i don´t know who had the bigger wrist or ankle, but michael had a big head, he was very big for a lhw,. he weighed 175 pounds and he was all frame, he had no muscle on him, roy jones was a midget next to spinks. spinks could be a natural cruiser easily.
I used to work at LAX airport, and from time to time I'd see famous people walking around the terminals. One night I saw Joe Frazier, Marvis Frazier, and referee Mills Lane all in a group together. I was surprised at how large Marvis Frazier appeared; I always thought he was rather skinny and lanky, but he looked pretty solid and fairly tall in person. I always thought of Marvis Frazier and Michael Spinks as being similar in size and build. But I've never seen Spinks in person. Also, Joe Frazier was not that tall. I'm exactly 5'9 1/2" barefoot, and I'm not sure if Joe was taller than I was or not. Mills Lane was small; smaller than the 5'7" he is usually listed at. Maybe 5'7" in cowboy boots!
joe frazier was not tall, we can see him next to tyson and they were around the same height, tyson was a bit wider of shoulders but frazier looked more robust , more solid, the hands and fingers of joe looked thicker than tyson´s , frazier was a very compact guy, patterson looked a mw next to him. frazier and tyson were simliar, they were like pitbulls. marvis was 6´1 like me, spinks was around 6´2 a bit taller. Good picture of Foreman Bowe. How old is the average person before they began losing height? When Foreman came out of retirement he looked shorter because of all of the weight he gained
On average, most people lose I think between 1/4"-1/2" by age 50. The process typically starts around age 40 but doesn't really become measurable until age 50 or so. And excess weight would compress the spinal column.
You met Ali? Prime Ali or the shriveled old man ravaged by Parkinson? Judge Ali compared to Homes and Foreman at stare downs. Foreman was 6'3 1/2" Ali was half inch shorter. Ali was 6'3" As if this is some big deal.
I heard losing height depends on activity level, posture etc It could be as much as a half inch a decade or so I've been told.
ali was a big man, look at this photo next to norton, hearns, holyfield, patterson and smokin joe, their heights were correct. ali and norton 6´3, evander 6´2, hearns 6´1, patterson 6´0 and joe 5´11 1/2 maybe (joe was short but he was big, 100% a natural hw, just look at his head and thick builk..)
