It's amazing the crap Ali got away with and his worshipers sweep under the rug. If the internet and social media existed then as it does now, he would've been heavily criticized for that kind of psychological warfare. He'd have to change his war of words.

By 90s & certainly 2000s HW standards Ali is a small, light punching, w/good speed HW. Past his early 30s that good speed was declining. He was 34 when he got a gift decision vs. chinny Ken Norton.
Based on recent to current era, he's not intimidating any top HW - mentally or physically.

 

Frazier and Norton weren't intimidated by the trash talk and they beat the stuffing out of Ali.

Mike Tyson was easy to aggravate and could be bullied by guys who weren't intimidated, especially bigger guys. 178 pounder Holyfield had his number even when they were amateurs, intimidated him in the pool room and got the better of him in sparring.

People might call Ali a nonce if he were around today. They wouldn't appreciate him turning up at certain rallies either.

Ali beats every single HW in 80s, 90s, 00s and up. Some fights might need a bo3, like Lewis or Vitali or Tyson or Holmes or (whoever). But most HWs get humiliated by Ali and either cleanly outboxed or surprisingly stopped.

Size isnt everything and if you havent seen Usyk fight I can understand your ignorance but - let it be known - skills pay the bills and Ali had more skills, speed, heart, stamina, and drive than anyone I mentioned. He just wanted it more.

 

Testament to how Great Ali was is when Rummy did the Top 50 best fights ever Ali had 3 of his fights in the Top 10 and number 1 was Ali V Frazier.....Was an ATG and an absolute Legend end of story.!!!

 

Vitali and Lennox aren't microscopic Frazier we are talking about either.
