    If Overeem had a good chin I'm confident he could be a world champion. He's a world champion in MMA, he has some of the best stand up in MMA, he'd be a HW champion in boxing in todays weak division.

    He's no Ibeabuchi but if he were to focus exclusively on boxing he has the physical capabilities to be an Ibeabuchi.

    Overeem would only have a chance if he dedicated 10 + years to boxing exclusively. Boxing wise, Both Kbros are lightyears ahead of him. Guys like Haye would ko him, guys like Povetkin would grind him through.

    Sometimes I think that esb posters have never been to the gym. OMG, a huge guy with big muscles, that must mean he is good!

    I like Overeem in MMA. In boxing he would get ko'd with frequency. The Klitschko brothers would have an easy night. Put down the crack pipe and eat some turkey with the family. It's thanksgiving already.

    :rofl:lol::patsch

    This thread is a perfect example of how a poster can instantly kill all their credibility.

    However, I don't think the op had any credibility to begin with.

    :huh:patsch His MMA record is ****, only two wins over ranked HW opponents (Werdum and Kharitonov, the latter being back in 2006), his best stuff was when he was a gatekeeper in Pride back around 2005.

    His K-1 resume isn't much better barring a win over Badr Hari (who had fought a whole GP a few weeks earlier).

    Overeem is a brawler that doesn't rely on his jab. Watch his K1 fights and you'll see the same thing there. Stalking style with heavy hands. Overeem would feast on lower level opposition but would get KO'd against mid-level journeymen. I'd like to see him box Kimbo. :D

    He hasn't lost in years. He's going up against Bork Lesner and I predict he will win.

    I always see guys that look like him at amatuer boxing cards. They turn purple in 30 seconds.

    Those guy obviously aren't Overeem. But I think he should stay in mma / kickboxing.

    besides, his K-1 victories are a bit overblown, and he looked pretty horrible against Werdum.

    Anyone remotely near the top in the HW division torches Overeem. Weak chin, no heart, and, most importantly, he's not a boxer.
