Mate lets look at like this, Reem is not only is an accomplished MMA fighter, but is a K1 champion who knocked the living **** out of a good Aussie boxing HW like Ben Edwards. JDS is an MMA fighter with no boxing or K1 pedigree who looks pretty good at stand up but never faced a proper boxing or kickboxier of any serious note. You saying he will beat the living **** out of him is a little bit rich to start with, although i'm not saying he won't win in a MMA fight between the two, but to still maintain that even when i said if its a stand up only .
atsch Jeez, can't we just agree to disagree. Edwards is a decent OZ kickboxer and just an ok OZ boxer. Overeem bashing him senseless is not that much of an achievement for an accomplished MMA fighter / K1 champion. Overeem also looked like **** in his last fight, against someone many thought he was going to flog in the stand up. Werdum was willing to trade more when he was upright. JDS has a strong boxing pedigree, he's one of the top boxers currently in MMA. I maintain JDS will dominate Overeem, that ok with you?
I also think JDS wld win a MMA fight against Reem .......... If both stay on their feet and trade maybe not. Please disregard the Werdum fight.................... Reem was disappointing but the opponent had a lot to do with that :good P.S How do u think JDS wld go against Edwards purely in a boxing match???
I don't think we should disregard the Werdum fight. Sure, Werdum kept flopping to the ground, but when they were standing, Overeem did **** all. Werdum actually looked better standing up, go figure. :huh JDS VS Edwards boxing. Hard to say, because the focus is different, you're not looking for leg action, take downs, etc. I'd probably favour JDS here too. Don't get me wrong, I like Edwards, but he's limited. It's all just my opinion anyway, I get it wrong more often than not. I do see something special in Cigano though, he has good fighting brain too.
Why the hell are you guys talking about Ben Edwards? :huh What about beating Tyrone Spong, Gokhan Saki and Peter Aerts? or previously KOing arguably the best HW kickboxer in the world Badr Hari in 1 round.
