All aboard.... I was informed that in the stoppage "KO-Chulito" fractured Hasegawa's jaw. Pretty amazing Montiel's awkward style proved to be too much for the the Ex-Champ. Montiel was looking for that punch all night whereas Hasegawa was so worried about getting punched in the body that he forgot about the hook to the head. After the fight Montiel expressed the desire to defend his title at home and then fight Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. Hasegawa's promoter immediately made extended an offer that Montiel return to Japan to defend his title.
