He is definitely in the top ten, no doubt about that but he is seriously overhype on here, has he beat better comp than Froch, Lucuian bute? I dont think he has.
Froch lost to Kessler and barely got by Dirrell. Who has Bute fought that is better than Martinez's recent opposition? Bute's best win is over Andrade.
Froch has fought great opposition but he did look bad against Dirrell which i thought he lost and also lost to Kessler. Bute. Come on man. You dont honestly think Bute has fought better opposition than Martinez do you? Not even close...
Two questions: 1-Who's Lucuian Bute? 2-Who has Lucuian Bute beat that is on the same level as Pavlik and Williams?
Pascal Taylor Dirrel Disputable loss against Kessler. I dont think his resume is better than the cobra's.
I didnt mean to put Lucian that was icdle thinking on my behalf but i think Frcoh is definitely better.
Just like you can have your pros and cons for having a fighter rated high for his recent performances as a top p4p, the same can be said for fighters that have had long reigns like Wlad, but haven't had wins over elite competition that just doesn't have grounds IMO to consider him the best. In Wards case, you can't rate him higher than Martinez when Ward's only notable win was over Kessler, the Super 6 favorite, and only has one credible win when Martinez beat the MW champ who was favored to beat him, clearly beat an improving Cintron, and not only beat, but destroyed the same man who controversially won vs him not too long ago. If Ward beats the winner of Froch-AA or Dirrell then you can have him ahead of Martinez, but that hasn't happened. If Wlad beats Haye I'd rank him higher than Sergio. It doesn't matter that Sergio hasn't had alot of time in the rankings he's getting the job done instead of the rest that are proscrastinating.
Taylor was beating Froch before his chin failed him. Dirrell lost a controversial decision. The Kessler fight could of gone either ways depends who you chose based on activity or clean punching. The Cobra never had a dominating or devastasting performance like Sergio did over Williams or a dominating one like Sergio had over Pavlik. Sergio was the underdog in both fights. I'm sure in all of them except the Cintron fight he was the underdog.
