Wach is more respectable than Tony Thompson II or Mormeck , and 10 times the better than Vitalis last opponent, Char. He is just unproven big time. and more props to him for not being a ***** like some of the guys who turn down title shots . the man stepped up when called on. Nothing wrong with this defense.

Agreed. Wach has a few things to offer (size, power, chin and bursts of speed..yes speed....Wach can actually turn it on in bunches when he wants to) that can make this fight more interesting than people realize. We all know Wlad is the superior more experienced fighter, but that pretty much describes his relationship to all fighters in this division. As far as Wach's appearance, he's the kind of fighter who's in shape yet never looks ripped. From what I'm hearing and seeing he has stepped up his strength training big time for this fight.....so these are all positive signs you want to see from an opponent. While I don't reasonably expect that Wach can win on points, I do believe he has a chance for a stoppage.

    It's being broadcast on Epix.

    - and the undercard includes Denis Boytsov vs. Konstantin Airich. Yowsa!

Epix is also showing Helenius's "take it easy" comeback fight, on the same day but from Finland.
    - So I guess the times won't conflict.

Helenius is fighting Sherman "The Tank" Williams, which is more than just a "take it easy" fight. That's a good test for his first fight back after a bad injury.

I should add that I'm not being sarcastic or ironic when I say WACH is gonna rock Wlad's world.

I really believe he will -- that he'll give Wlad all he can handle and force him out of his comfort zone.

And without Steward there to calm Wladdy down when things start to go south, WACH is gonna have a great chance to become the new heavyweight champion. Wlad's psyche is almost as fragile as his chin. The idea that he can't be beaten is a joke.

WACH has prepared well and is ready for this fight. That in itself puts him in a different category than Wlad's last two opponents.

And there is no size advantage for Wlad this time.

The situation is ripe for an upset and I think WACH can do it.

So then if Wladimir wins he gets credit, at least from you, for a very solid defense and an impressive victory?:think

It all depends how he wins and whether Wach can offer any resistance and competition. These are all question marks because Wach hasnt been tested.

Of course -- I always give Wlad his props.

I like Wlad, but I'm more of a Vitali fan.

I'm not dissing Wlad, just being realistic. He's great but he has flaws like everybody does. And WACH can exploit them because he's taken this very seriously and has the size and strength to do it.

I really dont think Wach actually has a shot to win. I do think he has a shot to make it interesting for a bit. I'm a big believer in strength of opposition. Its like the old saying, "You cant go from little league straight to pitching in the World Series". Obviously, Wladimirs recent competition hasn't been that great. Past wins over better big guys like Jameel Mcline, 07 Thompson and Sam Peter should be plenty of experience to get him past this without too much trouble, imo.

I just see conditions being ripe for an upset here. Wlad has fought two unworthy people in his last two fights, so he may be lacking an edge.

Put in the mix that his calming influence Steward won't be there if/when things start to go south -- Wlad may panic, as he had been known to do.

I think WACH with his great size and strength will test Wlad's jaw in a way it hasn't been tested for a long time, and when that happens, the opening is going to be there to go for the kill, so to speak.

People talk about WACH being slow (same thing has been said about both Klitschkos for years), but it's really a matter of timing. If he can time Wlad and deliver a hard shot to the chin, things are gonna get very interesting.

Obviously Wlad will land more on Wach than the other way around but I don't believe that Wach won't land anything on Wladimir. Wlad is no Mayweather- doesn't have some great head movement or defense. Wach needs to take Wlad to war, and he definitely has the atributes to win that war. Another thing is that Wach will be in his best shape ever.

I can't see Wlad taking a right like this from Wach:

I like Wlad, great champion, but his 8 year run is coming to a close

Can we even talked about Epix here without the fear of being banned? I don't wanna get banned from ESB, but I need to know more about getting Epix. I asked my son to look into it & even he said the site lacked infomation.

So if its OK to talk Epix, how does it work?

If this is a problem talking about Epix, I'll shut up right now. (Don't wanna get banned!)
