(and the IBO, but let's be honest, nobody cares about that one...but it does technically make four in a single fell swoop)

Now then, let's see. A little over two years ago...

• OvidsExile, velagod, ForemanJab, Lazar, POTUS, Max Thunder, & Kingmaffe all thought Usyk would cap off at one belt at HW.

• pistal47, northpaw, 12toneman, lighteningjab, Glenn McKrory & Mickea4 had faith he'd grab two.

• KiwiMan & Jamzy ⭐ both said three.

• catchwtboxing reigns as the most correct for now, predicting four.

• IntentionalButt (hey that's me! ), Robney, elbonzoseco, silencio, glovesofcrimson, CST80, mirkofilipovic, Mr Icaman, Banana-Rama, Baneofthegame, FastSmith7, Somachenko, 305th, Heavy_Hitter, LeftRightDownThePipe, 88ball, Rooster_Booster, BoxTurtle all knew he'd not only lighten Joshua's burden of excess gear, but eventually wrest the once mighty green & gold away from the ignominious (downright embarrassing, really) state of farcical rankings and lapses in timely defense it has fallen into basically ever since Usyk's countryman Vitali Klitschko vacated it to run for office in 2014 and restore it to glory.

• Now, the real Wall of Shame, here are those who felt confidently enough that Usyk would never become a HW champ as to vote zero: Greg Price, The Akbar One, granth, andrewa1, deadACE, mthez, Chuck Norris, Gymbot, Dfaulds, Aydamn, NasalSpray, PunchersChance., Rusty100, TheRevAshton, and CarlChilders. Sorry to do it to you, guys, but nobody held a gun to your head and told you to make such a dumb vote that could be necro'ed someday.

 

On a related note: you guys remember all those instances where people would call Lomachenko the Ukrainian p4p #1 for his generation, and I was like "actually I put him at number two behind Usyk, and have rated The Cat ahead of Hi-Tek as the greater pound for pound h2h fighter almost consistently since they both turned pro in late 2013 " and everybody was like "wtf lol stfu IB, that's dumb, Loma >>>> Usyk, duh".
