I'm sure it's already been posted about the show. Anyone else find it completely boring now? i struggled to watch the whole thing. The Mayweather clips look like they could have been taken from any previous episode and edited into this one, nobody would really know the difference. Same old stock lines being used. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy watching as many shows about boxing as possible but this is plain boring now. We get nothing new from Mayweather at all. When focusing in on his daily life, he is probably as shallow as he comes across so there's not a lot more to show there but i would love him to open up more about his boxing, inspirations, the learning of his craft. Instead i feel like i'm watching MTV Cribs and the whole circus around him shopping and stuff is very boring now, we've seen it all before. Maybe this is down to the producers not probing enough and getting more information or different angles on the fighters. Whatever it is, they need to change it up a bit. There's only so many times you can see Mayweather looking uncomfortable around women and out shopping and Maidana spending time with his kids. I'm a fan of both fighters in the ring so i'd like to see more about this side of them.
Agreed but i doubt it will happen, who really cares if Maidana went on a helicopter ride or Mayweather bought a new car them countdown shows are getting less to do with boxing all the time.
It really was boring as ****. 24/7 was far better. Maidana has no personality. The Ortiz/Hatton/DLH 24/7 series were really good. If May fought someone who trash talked, it would be amazing. :deal Maidana's stale personality is the only reason why this fight isn't selling HUGE. :nut
The excitement and close scores of fight one should sell itself Gotta say I haven't seen one commercial for it and on demand isn't hyping it
Problem is that Showtime has given Floyd way too much creative control, he is an executive producer for the show... and that makes it a little boring, bec. it's what he wants on the show. Producers are Producers for a reason, Boxers are Boxers for a reason...
Having good taste isnt paying women to hang out with you. It was a really poor epispde. Its the same each time. How many episodes are they doing?
It's become a joke of a program. Basically they should label it "Paid Programming" and air it at 3am because it's nothing more than an infomercial. We get the same shtick. Floyd says "F" everybody! I won't buy the fight but Floyd still gets his guarantee so he's free to taunt with impunity. Noticed how he's brainwashed his kids, having them recite his "hard work, dedication" mantra. I guess he has a new prostitute sitting behind him this time, replacing the departed Ms. Jackson. Maidana doesn't have a great on-camera presence, so it's left to Robert Garcia to bring the entertainment. Finally, in the biggest joke of the program, how can they go an entire 25 minutes and not mention the top trending topic of the week, the issue with 50 Cent? To pretend this never happened tarnishes any credibility Showtime had, although that's not much considering at the end the executive producer is listed as Floyd Mayweather. Anyone who thinks this does anywhere over 1.1 million is deluded. For the first time in my life, I won't buy a Mayweather fight and will find somewhere to watch for less than $75.
Seeing those paid-for mannequins around Floyd is as boring as seeing those beer girls at the weigh-ins and running to pose for the cameras. They add NOTHING. Floyd's women look more like PETS than "his women", like he's the only guy those hoe are screwing.
Floyd's whole "Thing" is getting old now... It's not even irritating anymore it's becoming embarrassing to watch/listen.
