All bias aside, do you think people are being way too harsh on Deontay Wilder?

Hard not to feel hes getting his just deserts tbh. Hes been annoying people for years....from picking overmatched opponents for too long. Gloating a bit too much over knockouts and generally being irritating, his treatment of breland and now his feeble excuses. Its hard not to think hes brought it on himself. Tbh i think wilders playing an act...hes acting the heel to become a bigger name just like mayweather did. Which is stupid because wilder has been exciting in the ring. His performance doesnt really need the act.

Its time to drop the act and become a more humble guy. I think fans would actually get behind him if he was able to do that.

Essentially tho he gave it his best....stayed in the fight as long as he could and came up short. No shame in that really. Time for him to take advice from sensible heads and drop the act if it is an act....or actually become more humble.

Nothing's being said about Wilder as a fighter that hasn't been said for years now. As person, he deserves all he's getting for his poor sportsmanship. When Joshua lost he didn't waste any time in rubbing it in Joshua's face (whereas Joshua called him a 'gladiator' after his loss), but when he lost he immediately made a ton of ***** ass excuses, blaming his stupid costume (even though he trains with a 40lbs vest on and the costume makers themselves said it only weighed 25lbs at best), blaming the referee (even though Bayless did pretty much everything to help Wilder including needlessly docking Fury a point), blaming his trainer for throwing in the towel (even though he was getting absolutely battered with no response), blaming another fighter at ringside for conspiring with said trainer to throw in the towel, etc.

If anything he's not getting ripped on enough. He was a paper champion with a massively inflated ego
Bull****. Anybody who can punch could do that to Wilder. That's why he avoids anybody that can punch.

From the third round on we could see that repeated punishment had taken the sting out of Wilder's punches. From the sixth round on Wilder had trouble raising his arms above his chest. Fury doesn't hit that hard, and he did that to Wilder. You can see why he's afraid of anyone who actually can hit
His 42 other opponents were all bums. Either has-beens or never-weres.

What Fury did wasn't impossible for anyone else to do. Fury's just the first person to get the opportunity to do it. The reason for that is Wilder figured an obese alcoholic cocaine addicted Fury who rolled off the sofa to breathe vodka in his face after the Szpilka fight was going to be another one of the above and he could claim Fury's scalp, legitimately claim to be the lineal champion and then use that as leverage to get one final payday with a Joshua unification bout. He didn't realise until it was too late that he'd badly underestimated Fury and then the split draw meant a rematch was basically unavoidable.
He didn't fly all the way to Russia. He flew to England and then flew back home when it came out that Povetkin was on PEDs.
