Nah, he'll come back from this. It really isn't that big a speed bump, losing to a hometown fighter in a close fight. Some people just place way too much emphasis on a loss.

As a fan of the sport Khan puts on a great show and gives you your moneys worth more often than not, and that's all I could really ask for to be honest.

Not impressed with Khan's sour grapes after the fight, though. He should've given credit where it was due.

Congrats to Lamont Peterson - what a story.

Huge respect for Lamont. I didnt think he had it in him.. but he makes a very good pressure fighter imo.

Yeah, that did kinda irk me a bit. I mean I can see where he was coming from, the ref definitely showed some slight bias towards Lamont, but he should have given Peterson the credit he was due. I think he just let his emotions get the better of him, which is understandable.

I'm happy Peterson fought his heart out and got the win. The fight being in his hometown definitely made things more impressive for him. Khan took the punches better than I thought he would also.
The controversy with the points add to the equation, but it will only add fuel to the fire for a rematch. If they do rematch, I think Khan can make the adjustments he did in the 12th round to win a close decision.

I am not sure. If the ref. takes 2 points away from him and he loses the fight by a point for a draw and 2 for a win, I would be upset also. Peterson won the fight since those are the rules, but Khan would beat him if the fight is anywhere but the hometown of Peterson.

what can you say? khan's mouth is garbage. he's fast, but not fast enough if you get tagged in the ropes and applied constant pressure on the inside where khan cant really use his footwork and reach.

great fight tho. can be a foty

**** YEAH LAMONT made a fan out of me...

Fought one hell of a fight, great body work and showed massive ammounts of G'ness and balls....and if it wasn't for the Ariza shakes Khan would have been on the floor but in seriousness a khan did show he is one dimensional, and has great stamina and the Chin issue to me is settled.... Khan has alright chin.

I doubt it. I love Khan's speed but I was frustrated that a guy with that great handspeed would made so many mistakes technically. I have seen him fight before, but I always thought he would get a little more tight in his defense. There were times when had Peterson swung a left hook he would have hit Khan with a clean haymaker. I don't think Roach does anything for Khan. Khan would do well with Emanual Steward since Khan's game is offense. Emanual would just turn his offense into a plan with jabbing and counterpunching. Khan has the potential to be great if he had the right trainer and gameplan. His handspeed is great. But no way do I think Victor can beat Amir. Amir is the better fighter.
