Green? But now he is an experianced veteran 2 fights later? That is a paper belt your guy has, that Chad Dawson vacated.

    Hell of a scrap. :bbb

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch somewhere down the line. Credit to both fighters.

The rematch is already signed guys. ;)

PAscal just need to get passed the mandatory (Branco) and then the rematch will happen. :)

Great fight! Really lived up to my hopes. I'm happy that Pascal will now get the respect he rightfully earned.

And a fantastic night for Quebec boxing : more champions, more credibility and more big fights coming to Montreal! :good

I just got back from the fight, and it was a good one.
Especially from Pascal who showed improvment in many areas and he deserve the belt clearly.
Thank god for Adi that he ask for a rematch clause when he signed the deal.
We will have the pleasure of a second serving, and if Pascal gets better, and he will, Diaconu will have enough money to enjoy his passion, fishing...
As for Pascal,we might have a real treat down the line with a possible Bute vs Pascal encounter.
Very good things for the Montreal sceen, and a whole lot of exciting boxing ahead.
I am now a convinced Pascal fan, I doubt he was ready, but I was wrong.
Hats off to the new Champ, and long live boxing !

I've never been a Pascal fan but he earned my respect this fight big time. Still think he has a suspect chin but his athletisism allowed him to get out of the way of puches.

    Great fight, great victory.

Pascal is much more business like these days. He got a bit too comfy picking his shots and dancing away. Vs Froch, he proved his toughness the wrong way, slugging with a slugger. Here, on a big stage, Pascal mised boxing and slugging and deminstrated great improvement.

Diaconu, it seems, has one last chance. Thanks to rematch clause. He has never lived up to his talent due to inactivity, slow career, and injury. But he has one more big fight, when the Pascal rematch comes round. I wonder if Branco will take step aside money.

Props to Carl Froch, for beating Pascal, too. He did not "beat a bum" as Joe "The Jerk" Calzaghe dismissed.

Pascal and Diaconu have at last brought excitement to 175 pounds. For all his ability, Chad Dawson has not done this.

Big props for both fighters for a great great fight. It's easily up there as fight of the year. But again from my other posts this prove that Diaconu even though can take a punch, he's not in Dawson level and Dawson imo would have easily beat Diaconu but in Diaconu hometowwn he might not get the decision in his favor.
