Here you have Nate Cambell dropping his hands in the middle of a fight, and he gets KOed. Everybody on here laughed and called him stupid. Ortiz drops his hands in the middle of a fight, Ket's KOed, and because its Mayweather is suddenly a cheapshot.

I guess that should be a new strategy. If you're getting your ass kicked, just drop your hands, look away, try to hug, and the other guy is supposed to stop fighting. GTFOH1

It's because no one is sure what the referee has called...that makes the Mayweather one cheap. It looks like the referee isn't in control of the action and in fact they are still timed out (it LOOKS whether thats how it is or not is another matter) whilst Campbell taunts with his low hands stuff...

I dont see it as a cheap shot.

If anything all the blame should be with Ortiz.

My problem with threads today is that this win now makes Floyd the number 1 fighter in the world, when we have all known that Ortiz is a golden boy hype job.

That was not a cheap shot because he dropped his hands and got cocky with peden....

Floyds case was a matter of the ring official never instructing the fighters to box, there are three terms the ref uses , Stop, Break, and Box and Cortez never said box.

Of course Cortez is going to tell the media he called time in which is also questionable as he clearly looked like he was in the process of takin a point, but at this stage Cortez knows if he doesnt cover his ass it may mean his job

What fight were you watching. The fighter were seperated and Ortiz clearly gave the command to resume fighting and made the signal with his arms. They came together, Ortiz still wanted to hug again for the 3rd time, and got popped. It was clear as the day. The kid made a dumb mistake.

Why would Ortiz give any type of a command?...

it would help Floyd fans if they removed Floyds balls from their face so they can see and hear how this went down.
I just rewatched this ****, Cortez never called time in, nor did he instruct the fighters to box.

This is why Cortez was not looking at either fighter when this happend, at if you watch HBOs slow motion replay, you can see Cortez looking to the time keeper and calling time in, this is after Floyds left hook had already landed....

Cortez ****ed up big time and I expect him to cover his ass and lie about it but the video shows it, and even then when a ref does call time out then time in the fighters are not instructed to continue until the ref says box

This was a foul not that Ortizs foul wasnt a foul but if you watch that full round again Floyd was elbowing him about 6 times as Ortiz would come in

    Two completely different situations.

    This is a similar situation.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOigV3R3gFo[/ame]

At the start of the first round Khan went to touch gloves and Maidana tried to hit him with a left hand. What would you say if Maidana had knocked him out.

While what Maidana did was not illegal it was bad sportsmanship and a cheap way to try and gain an advantage.
