That's really beside the point of Khans timeline. Besides OP's original post didn't have much to do with religious fervor.

 

He hasn't been knocked down at 140 yet, and he's been knocked down by some very light punchers in the past, I'll give his chin the benefit of the doubt for now.

I'll give khan huge credit if he fights either katsidis or prescott.

As for khans power i am pretty sure he could knock a few but paulie is just one of those guys with an iron chin that nobody ko's.

 

I would give Khan huge credit if he beat Alexander and Bradley. Until then he is just hype.

 

who has bradley beaten then ? his best win is against a washed up old overrated junior witter, I love how usa fighters get credit before facing anyone remotely good.

personally i like alexander his win over urango and the manner is head and shoulders above anything bradley or khan have done and think he's legit but bradley is a hype job

 

I'm presuming you follow this through logically and think Bradley and Alexander are just 'hype' at this stage also?

Afterall, not much to choose between Khan, Bradley or Alexander's resumes.

 

The annoying thing isn't that people question the choice of Katsidis...generally those people make a valid point (from a boxing point of view)....however if Khan is a man of his word, those particular detractors will be satisfied since he is aiming for the big names before the year is out.

I personally think Katsidis is a decent challenge - and given the publicity Katsidis has garnered this past weekend, it will give Khan an opportunity to impress some of the 20k Mitchell supporters, giving him a bigger domestic fanbase. That's all, just setting the foundation.

I'm not entirely convinced that he can dominate the division and question his power - but I also realise that sometimes fighters are successful despite their deficiencies - and do more with the gifts they do possess...Nonetheless it's evident that at the very least Khan is good enough to be in the mix...time will tell how well he'll fare...

I think the OP is annoyed at the idiots that speculate Khan won't fight him...is ducking that guy...shouldn't hype himself up.....or is just plain rubbish at boxing...without actually allowing him the chance to prove himself. They literally can't wait 6 months....and have this incessant need to be so negative.

It's not difficult to doubt a boxer's ability - without making hysterical and hyperbolic attacks.

There is a lot of post-fight hype which isn't the consensus view - nonetheless Khan appears to be a good fighter....and ultimately we'll all know how deceptive appearances are by the end of the year.

Simples.

 

I very much like the idea of him fighting soon. Now that is old school. That is the mindset of a champion.
