It was probably pride ("his dad insulted me, and he insinuated that I am on PEDs!") that caused Pac not to agree to a 14 day cutoff of additional blood testing during the first Pac/Floyd negotiations.

Sometimes it takes a while for you to think clearly when you are insulted.

Then it became common sense ("nevermind the insult, its 40M USD, i can shag famous actresses with this") that caused him to agree the 2nd time.
