''Pop the jab, baby!Pop that jab and everything will come along!
Here champ have some water, come you're doing fine but you gotta let your hands go.
But if you don't throw any punches I'm stopping it''.
    The end.

After he explains the rules of the fight (no 3 knockdown rule ect...) his expressive "Jim!" and "Bob!" i think are hilarious.

Yep,trainers are important, but it seems nowadays as if the fighters work for the trainers, and the fighters should be happy to have a 'job' with them.
They are getting bigger and more important than fighters, as time goes on.

Lineal titles are the only way to distinguish champions. How that cannot be appreciated or get to much respect is beyond me.

Overpaid, obnoxious, inebriated doddery old fool who takes 5 minutes to ask a single question.
Wouldnt be so bad if he had done something in the Sport and EARNED THE RIGHT to talk bollocks, like George Foreman has.

A good trainer can make ALL the difference in the world in a fighter. Look at Nacho Berenstein.

Belts are what gets a fighter paid until he reaches the very very highest levels of the sport, which most fighters NEVER reach.

    I love Larry Merchant ;)

I understand what you're getting at with this thread but I think Lineal Titles are pretty important.

Yep,me too,but not incredibly so.You can have a situation were an average fighter gets lucky against an average lineal champ(they do exist, loads of them) and then that lineal title does the rounds whilst avoiding the top fighters of the division, which is easily done, due to the multiple belts....the linear dude doesnt NEED or HAVE to fight the top guys.
    He can hide behind politics.
There is no way round this system,im just saying people take Linear far too seriously, like its sacred.
