Fedas is coming off a stoppage loss, but tbf it was just his second one in 16 bouts (versus an unbeaten Cuban with a high KO %; the other came at the hands of former IBF top five ranked Adam Deines).

 

Ward well in control, playing around, very loose and relaxed, experimenting with different combos. Ward barely leaving first gear and Fedas getting wobbled and stunned left & right.

20-18 Ward, won't be long now.

Much more concerted effort to push for the stoppage by Joe in the fourth.

A hard SOB, is Dmytro. Losing every moment of this so far, but has stood up to some big shots and tied up strategically when in trouble.

MJW needs to show he can handle a clincher. No excuse going the distance as we've seen he can hurt Fedas.

...lucky for Ward, too, because he was dangerously close to failing to get rid of the guy. The commentators were doing damage control, asking if a stoppage was even necessary in this match-up... but it was.

 

Interviewer asks what's next, as it feels like the apprenticeship phase of his pro career is now pretty much over. Ward feels like he needs to earn his way to a big fight and wants to get there soon and stay active. His coach says the plan is to fight once by Xmas, and then look for a ranked opponent early next year.

 

Should plan on flattening Pádraig McCrory. Big domestic box office.
