Golovkin's jabbing wasn't enough to win back that round imo because Canelo still had some brief spots of success during the last 2 mins. Golovkin should have opened up with something else besides a jab to seal that round in the bank. All 3 judges gave Canelo that round because of clean, accurate and varied punches to the body and head of Golovkin. .
But that just me making an argument for Canelo. There's nothing at all between them in these rounds , they are so even , it really justs come down to personal preference.

You mean the first 7 rounds? The optics was bad for Loma during those first 7, but when really analyzing in slow motion, you get a much closer fight. Ufortunaty for Loma, the fight is scored in real time and Lopez out worked him.

You don't feel there's been enough excuse threads for Loma? One more was really needed?

Of rds, 1-7 only two were close, the others were clearly Lopez's. As was the last. While I think Loma won 8-11, 8 and 9 were fairly close (yes, even 8 since Loma didn't do much besides the flurry that staggered Lopez a bit).

So, 6 clear rds for Lopez and 2 clear rds for Loma, plus Lopez finishing stronger. There is absolutely nothing to see here. When will you fan boys accept this?

He arguably lost the first 6 and the 12th. 7-5 Lopez.

Are you implying that it could have wound up 120-108 in either direction? Or attempting to justify anything further afield than a 7-5 defeat for Loma? If you are, then phooey.

He won 4 of the last 6, yes, but it wasn't enough. Not much to discuss.

So you can either try to somehow find angles on a fight your boy clearly lost, or you can just do the decent thing and give Lopez props for doing much better than you anticipated and being a deserving winner. Your choice shows what kind of value you have as a fan of the sport, as opposed to just being a fan of particular practitioners of the sport, to be blunt.

This study of every punch in the last round and the 11th tells a different story.

When you say that, it illustrates your boxing ignorance. It was a decisive victory. Loma was a beaten man.

What does the 11th round have to do with anything?

Lopez turned it up in 12 and had too much for Loma.

The thought ofoma somehow taking 13,14 and 15 is a bit disingenuous.
