Honestly, I thought Jacobs was going to be Just Another Victim tonight but he fought a great fight and changed strategy while doing it. Until the 4th round, he seemed content to try to trade some with GGG. But after he got knocked down, he went more to stick-and-move and did a really nice job with that style given the opponent. Also, Jacobs put his soul into this fight. You can't hate on this guy, at all, given what he's been through and how hard he fought tonight. RJJ was spot-on after the fight. Credit to Jacobs. He made his name tonight maybe more so than any other fight of his career. I'm happy for him. He seems like a good guy and has battled true adversity.
Full respect. If you don't like those guy's stories, you have no soul. These guys made their marks tonight. I'm happy for them. And I even wanted Gonzalez to win, but you have to give Sor credit. He fought an incredible fight, as did Jacobs. Nothing but love here.
Miracle Man's actually gotta be seeing the division with a set of eagle eyes right about now. I think he gained a lot here, despite the decision not going his way. The question is, can he still make 160 going forward? If he can, then he'll remain a factor there.
If he fights like this, he's the heir apparent in my mind. We will have to see about the weight, though.
