It's a fight that I can't see happening in the near future.

But if they were to fight tomorrow, I'd probably pick Khan (but only because I know more about him, as oppose to Valero who I've only had the chance to see one good fight). So with this lack of understanding, my prediction is based on little evidence, and I could be horribly wrong

His footwork is still baaaaaaaaaaad though, and his ring IQ is low as.

He's a great athlete and trains well and hard, but he just lacks so many intrinsic instincts and abilities to be a truly rounded and fromidable fighter. So far his opponents have flattered him.

He is, and will continue to be, an efficient boxer, but any boxer with footwork, defence, intelligent pressure etc will nullify his greatest asset - his handspeed. Handspeed can be nullified by a lot of things, and khan doesn't have a huge amount to fall back on.

Huge improvement under Roach? Against a shot M.A.B and catching Salita cold?
Dont get me wrong i think Kahn is a good fighter. But if he comes up against a puncher he will go down. He was dropped by Willie Limond!!!

To be fair though, Limmond has a jaw-dropping and absolutely terrifying KO record of a whopping 22 percent.

You should see him shred through wet paper bags in training, it's a sight to behold.

I'd stillpick the wet paper bag over limond haha!

Kahn thought he was the best lightweight in the world before Prescott, i didnt think he was the best lightweight in britain at the time! (Kevin Mitchell)

Kahn sparring pac is great practice for him but no one should ever suggest he would be competitive with Pac in an actual fight no matter what the rumors say on how good Kahn did or didnt look with Pac in sparring.

the formula to beat Valero is a good jab and decent chin,Valero doesnt have devastated one punch he just run u over brawling like a bull- he hit demarcos a few times and never put him down

That's possible but don't forget that Kahn has a fragile jaw. If Valero lands a clean punch on it, Kahn will get KTFO! Although I think Kahn will win this.

Valero's stamina is not that great. Kahn can wear out Valero and finish him off in the later rounds. Not to mention that Valero's mouth is always open. A clean left hook followed by a right straight would definitely hurt Valero.

Maybe Khans fragile jaw was brought about by his lack of experience in the pro's, lack of tough sparring, his weight management and he was caught by a huge punch from a KO artist. Also he is older now and that can bring about a better chin.

Valero refuses to throw his left, choosing instead to use ONLY his right jab. He drops Khan with it twice in the first round, then lets the left hand go and bashes his silly brains out.

    Valero KO1

This is anything but a huge punch...and I don't think the guy is a KO artist either.

Chins don't get better by being struck, friend.

Valero would be on him like white on rice from the opening bell to the spectacular KO.
