i can see this being a boring 12 rounder with hardly any action in at all. RJJ will win by 6 rounds

IMO Jones has looked gaunt and weight drained at 175 for his recent outings and losing that extra 5 pounds is going play havoc with him. He'll be slow and sluggish and will only be able to fight in spurts and will tire quickly. Tito is going to be bulked up way too much at 170 and will be similarly slow and sluggish. This is going to be a fight where neither fighter does much. The best weapon against tito is the jab but roy's never been much of a jabber, so expect felix to be able to close roy down ok, but roy covers up well and tito wont have the stamina to wail away for 12 rounds. A weight drained roy wont carry enough snap in his punches to ktfo out of trinidad with one shot and he wont have the energy for the sustained attacks necessary for a knockout. This goes 12 rounds.

Roy needs to stay on the outside and box Tito, make him miss and possibly take him out as Tito gets tired late in the fight. Jabbing was never Roy's specialty so I doubt he'll use it a lot in this fight.

Can you name me a fight where Trinidad was tired late in a fight???

Imo, the stamina edge goes clearly to Trinidad!

i said anticipate punches, not react to them. age isn't going to effect a persons ability to read telegraphs.

guys guys tito is getting ktfo.

    think about it.

The fight is at LHW. RJJ has been active and could still be considered a top10 LHW. Tito hasn't won a fight in 3 years. By fight time it will be 40 months since Tito won a fight, or even a round (Wright pitched a shutout)

Tito's last fight was in MAY 2005 at Middleweight against a light Middleweight. Now he is fighting at Light Heavy against a guy whose gone up to heavy.

Tito is gonna get ****ing spanked. Its a horrible fight.

Even if Roy were as inactive as Tito, and hadn't fought since the Johnson fight, I would still favour him slightly. Now its not even close.

i had a dream that roy koed tito in the first round after realizing that tito can get hurt fairly easily at the heavier weights.

he did it with 5 left hooks in a row. roy fashion.

also, rewatching his last fight against henshaw, and i must say that roy's straight right hand is still faster than most 168-175 lbers are able to cope with. in fact, in terms of handspeed (not footspeed anymore), roy and floyd's straight right seem to be thrown around the same speed. that's gotta say a lot about what kinda skills prime roy had.

roy and "slow and sluggish" don't go in the same sentence except the this one.
