"I find myself in a similar position to Mike Brodie in many respects," he said.

"He's had a break from it, recharged his batteries and now he is hungry as ever.

"I'm recharging the batteries and, once I've done that, I can sit down and, like Michael Brodie has done, come back with the bit between my teeth."

i dont want to start the debate again of wether he should or should not fight on as i think we've all heard enough of that, but this is the clearest indication i've seen that he'll fight again.

This is from skysports if you're wondering after getting Mike Brodie to come back and fight under him:

Hope Brodie does well, he was a wonderful boxer trained with him a couple of times when he first started back, think he's too old now but maybe he can have one last blast at it.

I'm definitely getting the vibe he will too, for a Khan fight.

Fair play to Khan if it happens, IMO.

I think Khan will beat him. I think form is massively important and I think Khan is all wrong for someone no longer in form.

Michael Brodie was a great little fighter but I think that he has been away too long to make an impact again. Both Chi fights and the Harrison scrap finished him. Hope I'm proved wrong.

Brodie should stay retired. Loved the kid but he was getting beaten up alot towards the end of his career and marked up very badly. He shouldnt be in this sport anymore. Sabbaticals in boxing are rarely good ideas.

I found an article with the title,Hatton-'I will fight again'.However I read it and knew it was bull**** when I read the following:

I am sure we will see him rise straight back to the top level in boxing. He said the only title left for him is the pound for pound title and that is the one he will chase. We all know that the loss to Pacquiao was of no means of Hatton’s quality. He lost because he was over trained, past his peak and left in a mentally shaken state by trainer and poet, Floyd Mayweather Snr.

Floyd Mayweather Snr really gave Hatton as worse preparation as he possibly could for the Pacquiao fight. Hatton might as well have had Paul Chuckle in his corner and used his younger brother Barry as a sparring partner, as I have said before. If Ricky was at his peak and had a half decent trainer in his corner we all know Pacquiao would not last three rounds with the big punching Manchester man, who is often compared to the legend Roberto Duran.

Anyway, less of Paul Chuckle. Who will he fight next? I would advise Hatton to go for one of the young upcoming unbeaten lads. Maybe Alexander Devon. Just as a warm up. Assuming he got through that he might then work towards a rematch with Pacquiao and even Mayweather.

If Cotto beats Pacquiao and Marquez beats Mayweather, he has a huge chance of getting a rematch with either of them. I also believe if the referee at the Mayweather fight did not go out of his way to shake Hattons rhythm, Hatton would have knocked him out. Long live the King.

Does anybody think this is serious??

I hope Khan can get the fight too but its unlikely. Khan is promoted by Warren and Ricky says he wants to promote the fight.. And he says boxing is dying..

Hatton is soooo deluded its not funny. If he did say that he may as well just retire and call it a day. He doesnt have the ability nor style to beat any of the elite in this sport let alone any box puncher at his weight. Be a promoter or box. Dont try and do both. He's not DLH and additionally DLH wasnt succesful as a boxer whilst promoting. You must devote your life to one or the other.

Kostya was also way past his prime and had one foot in retirement. Good win but not elite in the slightest. I think you know exactly what a prime Kostya would have done to Ricky..
