Anybody who ksab, knows Berto is a live opponent. Berto is young, quick, explosive...a recent former champ and a top 5 ww. He was one of the most highly touted young prospects in recent years, and now that he's healthy, he's a handful for anybody.

But, as y'all know, the hate is real. Floyd fights anybody short of Wladimir Klitchko or Deontay wilder and they're labeled a bum....because floyd MUST fight only the tip-top, contenders and pfp entrants in every single fight...even though the other stars in boxing constantly feed on bums and theise same mfkers criticizing floyd have NO problem with it.

All this fake outrage just to detract from floyd's greatness...berto is so far away better than danny geale, willie monroe, james kirkland and paulie malignaggi that those guys are not even in the same conversation...berto, in fact, would have a pretty good shot at beating cotto and garcia....and probably beat canelo too. Hell, berto would be by FAR the best fighter ggg ever faced.

Floyd: I will be fighting either Berto or Mayfield

Floyd fans: Haha you idiots, he's just trolling. No way he fights Berto or Mayfield.

Floyd: I will be fighting Berto on 9/12

Floyd fans: Berto is a young, slick, and legit contender who has one of the best jaws in the game and always entertaining

I realize that Floyds so called hate mafia are really his greatest fans and want to see him go out like Leonard did against Hagler. The reality is he is doing it right. Berto is cool and sacrificed a lot and personally I'm glad that he got the fight. People always point out Manny's charity and ignore the fact that Berto was in the trenches of Haiti with his own personal money when things went bad. No body visits Haiti like that or gives a squirt of **** outside of their own lives.
It will be a good fight with a solid card and I will order it. People are finally getting what they want, Floyd out of boxing, and they will complain to the very end.

Actually, I wanted floyd to fight roberto garcia or someone a lot less dangerous. I wanted it to be a slow, ponderous latin guy who floyd could destroy in spectactular fashion in setting the new record. Berto is far above what floyd should be fighting in his farewell bout...fans are lucky as hell they have a pfp #1 who actually takes on dangerous, young tigers who would have a chance against anybody.

If they're complaining, the thing is, they don't have to watch it.... those of us who know boxing and don't have a hate agenda, will watch and feel PRIVILEGED to see floyd-berto. Berto with fast hands, explosive ko power and aggressive style against floyd the master boxer. Berto had a great run a few years back..But that ended with fight of the year against ortiz. Against guerrero, even though he was fouled early and blinded in one eye, still fought like a warrior the whole time...fought soto karass with a dislocated shoulder and nearly ko'd soto karass...dude had a string of bad luck and he's got a lot to prove....this berto seems renewed in his motivation. think floyd wins but berto's quickness could give him problems.

:goodTotally agree. 147 needs to man up now and stop ducking and dodging each other calling out Floyd. The lottery is closed now.

    Top-5 WW :rofl

Ortiz, Guerrero and Soto Carass would strongly disagree

Berto could've beaten Garcia, Cotto and Canelo, YES, but couldn't beat Ortiz, Guerrero and Soto Carass? :huh

By far the best GGG opponent? I bet at least 15 GGG opponents beat the **** out of Berto. For example, Marco Antonio Rubio would've KO'd Berto cold, easier than Soto Carass did.

Best opponent isn't solely off resume in respective class. It also has to do with their skill in comparison and ranking in the division at the time. So, with that said, literally anyone would be a "better" opponent than Berto because, to start, Berto would be beaten by the majority of fighters on Golovkin's resume.

It's just ridiculous reasoning to use, sorry.
