Admit I'm kicking a hornet's nest here, but with all this focus on Khan's whiskers, does anyone else think Maidana is a bit chinny?

Sometimes I think he is, but sometimes I don't.

From what I know, he's been down in his career before (not only the Ortiz fight), but only once or twice.

Ortiz is a power puncher. You will go down regardless, when your in with a power puncher like that, IMO. Also if you notice, he goes down whenever he's throwing his own and he never see's them coming. His recovery rate is very good and he's never actually been hurt in my opinion, or hasn't looked it, to say the least.

No but a stoppage win for Khan is not out of the question.

He can be hurt and put down, yes.

But his ability to recuperate is very impressive. Ortiz, who’s a massive banger himself, landed endless amount of bombs on him, yet Maidana recovered without a problem - forcing a stoppage win of his own.

Now whilst Khan is a more accurate and concise puncher than Ortiz, he doesn’t quite bang as hard as his fellow Golden-boy. So I personally don’t expect Khan to hurt him as much. At best, Khan could grab a late TKO.

I rather have that than a lot of power. Floyd was able to punk Mosley, but the harder hitting Cotto and marg couldn't do it. Small Marquez was able to punk emmanuel, but big kids like Cotto, Clottey, and marg couldn't!

Yes he is. He almost was ready to quit after Ortiz knocked him down for a third time, then Ortiz quit.

Yeah, me too. I find clean and accurate counters/combinations more pleasing than haye-maker/powerful ones.

Outstanding point, and one that Khan fans have overlooked. Maidana tasted the canvas after being on the receiving end of punches thrown by a heavy handed Victor Ortiz. Khan's handspeed exceeds that of Ortiz, but he does not hit nearly as hard as Ortiz.
