All this talk about Canelo vs. Mayweather... WTF has Canelo done

I like Canelo and his style but the way his career is being managed is indicative of everything that is wrong with boxing. I mean Ryan ****ing Rhodes is literally the only true career light middle that his management has put him in. He got a title given to him while he was still a boxing novice and has been allowed to cherry pick old, past it, bums by his sanctioning body. He's a 22 year old four time defending world champion that has never been in the ring with a live body. Worse yet he actually is a good fighter and would actually be in competitive fights with the other top dogs in the division. He might not win all of them but thats the sport of boxing. **** the business of boxing.

There are some people out there that thing this guy should still take the cotto fight because it would be good the last proper test that would give him all the experience he needs to beat the true big time fighters of his era. Thats bull****. He's already learned everything he was ever going to learn beating on sugar shane. Cotto is a natural 140 lber and he doesn't take punishment well. It would be a massacre not a learning experience.

 

Canelo would probably beat the **** out of floyd. Too much youth and too much size and strength. Floyd's legs aren't what they used to be and they would be the only thing that would save him from a career ending beat down. If the Cotto Trout match proved nothing else it was that there is a huge difference between these older fighters pretending be 154 lb'ers and the young strong, natural 154 lb'ers. Trout's boxing ability was good but all things being equal it was his size and strength overwhelmed Cotto. Floyd fighting a guy whose roughly his own size and fighting a natural 154 lb'er a completely different ball game. It's one thing laying on the ropes and rolling with Cotto's left hooks. Canelo has soo much power and speed he's just beat Mayweather's shoulder and arms until he couldn't move them any more. Then he'd break his ribs. Then he'd bash Mayweather's head in. It would be competative early but it would be a bloody beat down by the end.
