I'm not gonna say pac looked like garbage. But he's clearly not the smooth, lightning quick, explosive guy he used to be...he got VERY lucky with that referee last night. That dude was just worthless. It's like the ref was so in awe of Pac that he didn't see what was happening in front of his own eyes.

It was like "pac is a hard puncher, algieri went down, therefore it was pac's power that put algieri down"....that kind of mentality that these stupid dudes who call themselves "referees" . One more indication boxing has gone to ****.

Take away all the KD's except for the one where Algieri went down from a pac straight left, and it's a lot more competitive fight...i think algierii relaxes, gets in a rhythm and starts to outbox pacman down the stretch...even kellerman noticed that algieri was winning stretches of the fight.

Pac got very lucky...the potential for him to be exposed was very much there and he lucked out with the worst possible refereeing in a long time.

The ref was poor but he was also poor by giving Aligeri a long count and pulling Pac off him in the 9th. A really good ref mightnt have ruled the slips as knockdown but probably would have counted Aligeri out also. And Pac won 11 or 12 rounds (8th was kinda close) so even though he mightnt be the force of old he is still very very good.

Dude, do you KSAB? it's a game of strategy...what's the point of outboxing the other guy if by the 6th round you're already down NINE points...due to the fcucked up refereeing. Algieri had to alter his whole strategy...probably fcucked with his head too. it was lousy officiating. the thing that kills me about this sport is why the fcuk they don't use instant replay.

If it wasn't for the ref calling the early slips and falls KD's he may not have HAD to give algieri a long count (if indeed it was a long count)...this is because algieri had to change his strategy after falling so far behind that the only hope was to KO pacman.

Yeah, I mean why not stop the fight mid-round and give the fighter a chance to recover after a knockdown.

Only two at most can be considered slips

Remaining were all knockdowns. It was a very competitive and close fight with the final scorecard 120-102.

Okay, take out the 2 ''slips'' that was considered knockdowns.
Still Pacquiao mnaged to knock him down 4 times and dominated Algieri who is a hard target because of his lateral movement.

You drive a really hard bargain kid. Manny looked great. Not amazing.....like he did in his prime against top tier guys but he looked damn good for 36.

Compare how he looked to Floyd in his last fight with Miadana and you see that both of these legends are clearly losing a half step....but guess what.....they are still winning and dominating.

To call what PAC did as "LUCK".....is only exposing your angle and biased view. That wasn't luck.....it was a combination of skills....being at a higher level and proving it....and just plain determination.

"Luck" is something like getting hammered from pillar to post and being bloodied, broken and bruised, THEN scoring a one punch KO at the very last second.

You got a point there! If you take away the 5 knock downs the score would have been a nail biting 120-107. Then maybe you can make a case that Algerie was robbed & deserves a rematch!:bbb

You don't have a leg to stand on......Algeri didn't change his strategy one bit from the sound of the first bell....to the last. He was on his bike, running....surviving and taking punishment in the process.

The 2 KD's that were slips aren't a factor based on the other 4 that were legit.
