there was also a couple of pushes in there...between the first and second slips, manny hit algieri with a good punch...chris was obviously wobbled. but then pac missed his follow up volley and he pushed algieri to the deck. that's also one even the announcers mentioned. there was another one later in the fight when pac missed all his follow up punches and it looked like algieri spun away and was really off-balance and went down. not saying it's pacs fault algieri was off balance, but algieri didn't go down from a punch. altogether 4 slips, fallls or pushes that were incorrectly ruled as KDs.

Believe me......Chris's pride was hurt. If there were 4 "slips" he would have been the first to bring that to the attention of the masses. But Chris is honest and he said 2 were slips....the rest were caused by punches.

Didn't you here Tim Lane say that was where they wanted to be? Loosing the early rounds was expected, they thought Pac would get tired and frustrated by all the running. Based on your posts IRL you are a person who doesn't accept responsibility and always blames others for your misfortunes.

One of the worst posts ive seen since the fight. Ya the ref sucked but kd or not al got completely dominated and it changed nothing but the score. As someone thinking chris could make it interesting even i saw how out of his league he was and it had nothing to do with bogus knockdowns.

cereal monotony......go ahead say it already.....we are all in agreement. Algieri beat the living hell out of Pac for 12 rounds and a new king was born.

    Reff was trash he:

Ruled 6 kd when there was only 4

Didn't stop the fight after chris got up after pac's straight. Pac was laying a ass beating and Chris was welcoming it.

He didn't count chris out when it went past the 10 count

Didn't ask the corner to wipe off the wet area

Kept calling low blows when chris was clearly not landing low blows.

It's like the Reff was there to help pac, but then got the point that pac didn't need his help after the 5th round.

I'll argue he won the 5th but he BARELY won a close round.

I agree about the KD's 3 or 4 were very questionable and the ref was awful, but it doesn't change the fact that Algieri got shut out, and I was rooting for Chris.

It was a mismatch. Algieri did not belong in the same ring with Pac. I don't like Teddy Atlas, but I have to agree with him that Provodnikov beat him..................

I think what you're saying is that if the ref hadn't dug him that unnecessary hole, he wouldn't have felt the need to KO Pac, thus wouldn't have I guess been as vulnerable?? I mean... I guess...

The 9th round KD was the one that canceled out the excuse about the slipping in the corner... That was as clean and clear as day

He won the 5th round, but they were defeated before they ever entered the ring. A guy without knockout power (8 knockouts in 20 fights of THAT caliber) can't wait until the 5th round to try and put something together. That is a horrible strategy. 2 rounds? Ok maybe...... 3 rounds you are pushing it. He was never going to win 6 of 8 rounds against somebody as talented and mobile as Pacman. Its just not happening.

BUT, Roy Jones thinks it was a great strategy. That's the second fight in a row we've had to listen to that bull**** from Roy the entire fight. He basically let the entire world know this was a B.S. fight in round 2. I'm sure everybody who paid money was happy to hear that the only possible way a guy with no knockout power is going to win is by knockout. Survival mode starting in round one ......... that's awesome. At least the under card was pretty entertaining
