If you look at HBO's boxing's best of 2007 video, the rising new talent featured were Paul Williams, Juan Diaz, and Michael Katsidis. Just a couple months later, all three rising new talents have lost.

I think Juan Diaz can still come back though as he's truly a very good fighter.

They probably had Lee on their radar for a date or two this year, also.

Props for HBO for making those fights, because not one of the three fighters you mentioned were matched with an easy opponent. Although I suppose that with Williams, one could argue that we really only discovered that in hindsight.

Williams and Diaz can come back and get back on the mix with the elites, while i don't know about katsidis, he look totally outclass, he doesn't have a good chin, and tends to cut so easily(he already got cut in round 1)

He looked outclassed in rounds 1 and 10. He'll be back.

I think that all can comeback besides Williams. That loss was huge and it showed so many flaws in his style. He should fight at 154, I don't like when fighter gain so much weight after the weigh in. He never really had that killer instinct to me, but his size was a factor in his fights.

Add Lee to that list. He was being brought along for a big HBO debut.

I like Lee and wish he fired Steward and hired Floyd Sr. to help him on D. Watching the fight all he needs to do is keep his hands up, like every steeward fight needs to do. And he should throw hi rigth hook more and goto the body a bit. He will be back, he can learn from a lose like that

They lost, but all were competitive and in exciting fights. That's a good thing. Katsidis has the most promise, as he was actually beating a truly elite fighter in Casamayor.

He needs to learn patience and a little better defense, and he will be a damn good and exciting fighter.
