Just a couple of simple questions; who do you think was

    (a) the most offensively capable British fighter of all-time.

    (b) the most defensively capable British fighter of all-time.

    Opinions?

I don't think Britain has had many outstanding defensive fighters. From the film I've seen I like "Peerless" Jim Driscoll's defensive work.

Offensively, Lennox Lewis. A much better offensive fighter than defensive. His attack was his defence. See the defensive jab.

    a) Nigel Benn?
    b) Herol Graham?

Herol Graham as far as i've seen was very good defensively (Until he tried wiping the sweat off Jacksons glove with his chin:))

Offensively, Naz at his peak deserves a shout.

Where would you say Hatton rates (Offensively) - I know he prob wont be the greatest but he was good going forward. His jab was underrated and he never ever gave his opponents time to breath. Yes he got found out at the very top level but he wasn't bad. Please dont rip me for this its only a thought, I have Benn Lewis and Naz as better (Even though Naz was a better 'counter puncher')

I would rate Calzaghe better offensively, and he wasn't found out at the highest level (ie: Kessler and Hopkins).

D-Mac thanks for not ridiculing me however with my obvious dislike of Calzaghe I find myself having to point out the differences between both fighters 'Top Levels' :)

I think points wins over Kessler and Hopkins are better wins, and I believe Calzaghe was more offensively capable, than Hatton was in his embarrasing KO losses to Mayweather and Pac.;)
