So Lewis never did win the WBO title yet is still regarded as being the undisputed champion?

And Ali never held the IBF or WBO, Joe Louis merely held the NYSAC and NBA. Over time different titles became legitimate. Since2007 the WBO has been included as a neccesity to be undisputed. Like the WBF and WBU are seen as worthless, so was the WBO. Bowe dropped the WBO so Holyfield would agree a 3rd fight, if you held the wbo you were not included in the rankings for the legitamate undisputed bodies WBC, wba, Ibf. That's why Akinwande relinquished the wbo title to face Lewis for the WBC, only way the bout would be sanctioned. Sanders had to drop wbo yo fight Vitali for WBC and Ring titles, no possibility of unification. Lewis was Undisputed then, you can't rewrite history.
