All time Greatest Chins...Why no James Toney most of the time?

    The guy was a natural middleweight who fought up to heavyweight...He fought Michael Nunn, Mike McCallum3X, Reggie Johnson, Iran Barkley, Roy Jones, Montell Griffin2X, Vassiliy Jirov, Evander Holyfield, John Ruiz, Dominick Guinn, Hasim Rahman2X, Samuel Peter2X, Fres Oquendo, Denis Lebedev, Lucas Brown and never got Ko'ed...Single greatest chin of modern time and top 5 all time. Toughts gentlemens?

    Anyone that moves 4 weight classes and doesn't get KO'd is special. For sure ATG

    I agree ^^above. I always admired Eubank Sr, Chavez Sr & Holyfields chin. A few names there that spring to mind.

    Toney had ATG chin. He slipped most shots to take away the stings, but when a flush one landed, he took it fine.
    Unfortunately the affect of those shots has been showing for a while with his slur speech. It's best if he's retired.

    I think Toneys going to be fooked by the time hes 60. Never heard a fighter start slurring and get worse at his rate.

    He's had 90 fights and went down against Reggie Johnson and Roy 25 years and as an old (over 40)
    fat tub of lard at HW, he has never been stopped. Is there any question
    regarding his chin?

    Ismail Abdoul has one of the greatest chins in recents years, he fought:

    Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, David Haye, Mairis Briedis, Murat Gassiev, Tomasz Adamek, Marko Huck, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Krzysztot Glowacki x2, Mike Perez, Ruediger May, Giacobbe Fragomeni, Vincenzo Cantatore, Enzo Maccarinelli, Mateusz Masternak, Dawid Kostecki, Enad Licina x2, Richards Towers, Dmytro Kucher, Lukasz Janik, Noel Gevor, Michael Cieslak, Micki Nielsen, Imre Szello...

    He only got a TKO loss vs Wlodarcyk at the 12rd

    He fought at heavy and cruiserweight, I do not rate Abdouls chin as high as Toneys, but definitely a great chin.

    Shannon Briggs also demonstrated an iron chin against Vitali, however Briggs s corner should have stopped that

    Agree on Abdoul I know him...One of the sturdiest mandible of the last 20 years...definitely top 10 but the downside he fights to go the distance not to win...Toney always fought to win and never got Ko'ed...In 92 Professional bouts winning 77 of them! That is quite amazing!
