All-time heavyweight tournament Round of 16: HOLMES vs. MARCIANO

    Here are the rules:

    • Best of three fights.
    • 12 rounds
    • 20 x 20 ring
    • 10 ounce gloves
    • Boxers and their camp are given extensive footage of their opponent and have a week to prepare a game plan
    • Boxers are in peak physical and mental condition in their absolute prime
    • After each fight, the fighters are magically restored to their pre-fight condition, but retain full knowledge of what they learned from their opponent and have another week to prepare a revised game plan

    Marciano doesn't have the tools to beat a guy like Holmes. Larry has too much of everything for the Rock to deal with...

    Holmes had a good beard and highly mobile,taller,huge reach advanyage and a jab to be proud of....I think he would win,but with a guy like the rock he would have to go through hell to hear the final bell.

    I didnt really like or appreciate Holmes in his day. He was seemingly arrogant and full of himself. some of his comments like "marciano not being fit to wear my jockstrap" turned a lot of people off him, and was a comment that wont be soon forgotten.

    (i think he said it about rocky? my memory plays tricks sometimes hahah)

    In all honesty, Marciano wasn't fit to carry Holmes' jockstrap.

    marciano had the tools to get inside on holmes and get past his jab. marciano has the power of a cyborg, holmes wouldn't be able to bang inside with the rock.

    Holmes is going to have Marciano walking into that jab all night. Rocky would have a face like the front window of a butcher's shop afterwards.

    Holmes too big, too skillful, had everything to make it difficult for Marciano, height, reach, the jab, the right hand, and the footwork.

    Holmes would be the biggest fighter Marciano ever faced, not only the biggest but also the most skillful and in his prime. This is a fight were Marciano would get busted up and by the late rounds he would be cut up to ****, eyes closing through the sheer amount of jabs he's eat and he would start getting picked off and stopped.

    Holmes all day long.
