Leonard isn't much behind Monzon by my measure; which isn't just an exercise in "hmmmm let me see, if we put this guy here, and this guy over here..." -it's measured via scores in a criteria that include Dominance and Longevity. Leonard can't score high in either. A great fighter, oh yes, but not among the greatest who ever lived. Top 10 for him is kooky. Too many monsters in the past 90 years that exceed him.

Top 10 is out of the question for me.

    No.20 sounds about right.

You're one of the few who actually has a system in place that is consistent and far less subjective than most, and you know I respect your opinion anyway. Plus, Roberto Duran at No. 5 is always Ace -- If following your post-1920 format (which I've heavily considered), that's where he'd be for me. :yep

Unlike the other two, canzoneri lost more than a few times in his prime.

Hard to say really. Monzon is one of the most dominant champs in history. Leonard has one of the best trio of victories in history. Canzoneris resume is just full of quality and he's done it at numerous weightclasses.

depends what you like. Canzoneris multitude of losses don't sit too well with me but only in the way that I wouldn't make him an automatic pick for top spot.

    I'd say

    Leonard
    Canz
    Monzon.

So he didn't. Pretty amazing on Leonard's part.
