    John Ruiz is so Mexican, dude. Just look at the ferocity and determination he fights with. He's also from Massachussetts which happens to have the highest concentration of Mexicans in the U.S.

    Sweet Pea, did you ****ing call me a troll. There is no reason for you to respond ***** because I don't want your shitty opinions on my thread anyway. Saldivar's a great fighter but no greater than the 8 ranked higher. Hence them ranking above him, it's logic, use it.

    My fault, I was actually talking about the ruelvano guy or whatever. But as far as logic and ranking Saldivar, how does logic rate a guy who had no top notch wins as the #2 Mexican of all time? Why does Zarate belong above him? Or Canto? Take your own advice.

    My post was mostly about the troll comment. I didn't think saying a couple of words like ***** or shitty was enough, so I made a reference to you lacking a logical mind. It wasn't out of some disbelieve I have that you argue Saldivar to be higher (very understandable), but more as an attack on you for the troll comment (I accept the apology). Why I rank Saldivar at 9 is that while Saldivar's wins over Laguna and Ramos and Winestone are top notch wins, the reason I rank Lopez as #2 is the utter dominance he displayed over his division and every top guy at his weight for 10 years, my believe that he is one of the top 5 or 6 most complete fighters I have ever seen, and the fact that he does hold very good wins over champions Rosendo Alvarez and Saman Sorjaturong. Canto is above him (one spot) mostly due to the dominance and skills as well, both of which I would say are above Saldivar's, he also beat several future champions and fellow titleholders during his reign. Zarate's place at #5 might be a little high in retrospect, but as with the others (you may notice a clue as to how I tend to rank fighters here) he was a more dominant champion during his prime and tore apart Alfonso Zamorra, an excellent fighter, was robbed horribly at the end of his career against Lupe Pintor, another excellent fighter and fellow HOF, and I am a little more impressed by his 51 fight (50 kayo's) unbeaten streak then Saldivar's 3-time featherweight champion acclaim. It isn't logical that they are above him, I do apologize for that, but I'm still keeping my list as it is.

    I think he was Mexican sailor who met his mom while traveling to Panama!

    Might catch some stick for this but here`s my top 2....

    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Erik Morales

    Both (like 99% of boxers) took unecessary losses after their prime yrs but in their prime were 2 of the most reliable, entertaining & rock solid boxers not just from Mexico but ever, especially King Chavez.

    Other worthy mentions are Lopez, Sanchez, Barrera, Marquez, Olivares.

    Ive seen very little footage of greats such as Saldivar & Zarate to be honest.
