That's just good matchmaking, most are very debateable. Not sure about Charles though, I see that as a fairly easy pick.

Maybe its simply a case of him matching up horribly to Pep stylistically that makes it look a bit wrong. That said, he does deserve to be mentioned. Its not the strongest division historically, I would have gone for Sanchez personally but no biggy.

TFFP - Yeah, I considered Sanchez, but there is so little in it I decided to go with a fighter who was currently hot.

Wealthy Elite - Shut up. You're right though, I should have picked Greb if I was playing it straight, but the no film thing handicaps peoples picks.

Muhammad Ali v Lennox Lewis (UK)

Ezzard Charles v Sam Langford (Canda)

Bernard Hopkins v Carlos Monzon(Argentina) (Hagler and Greb should probably be mentioned rather then Hopkins)

Ray Robinson v Jose Napoles (Cuba) (could have had Walcott but Napoles is class too)

Pernell Whitaker v Roberto Duran (Panama)

Willie Pep v Manny Pacquiao (Phillipines) (should have probably picked Sanchez)

    Orlando Canizales v Eder Jofre(Brazil)

    Midget Wolgast v Jimmy Wilde(UK)

Prime Charles beats any lightheavyweight ever. Foster, because of his size and power, has the best chance against him, but I'd pick Charles in that fight too. He was a complete fighter in every way. Langford was not a lightheavy, as great as he is, he's naturally between welter and middle. My picks, prime for prime, are Ali, Charles, Monzon (Greb would have won in his era, but he'd be DQ'd in the mid rounds in a later era. He's been called by most "the dirtiest fighter ever." Monzon was all-around more skilled and talented). Robinson, Duran, Pep (he'd struggle with the speed & power of Pac, but would be a little to skilled), Jofre, and Wilde (though I know little about Wolgast).

This is not a good time for America in boxing, or in the economy.

    So many great Cubans.

How a guy like Felix Savon would have gone in the late 80s and throughout the 90s. Had true knock out power to go with technique and conditioning.
