if henry armstrong and tommy hearns are considered as welters, than you can consider ray robinson a welter as well, meaning he is the greatest welter of all time
1. Ray Robinson 2. Pernell Whitaker 3. Ray Leonard 4. Micky Walker 5. Tommy Hearns just for starters, thats an improvment
1. Ray Robinson 2. Joe Walcott 3. Ray Leonard 4. Kid Gavilan 5. Jose Napoles 6. Emile Griffith 7. Luis Manuel Rodriguez 8. Charley Burley 9. Tommy Hearns 10. Henry Armstrong HM: Holman Williams, Carmen Basilio, Ted "Kid" Lewis, Jack Britton, Mickey Walker, Jimmy McLarnin, Barney Ross, Wilfred Benitez, Donald Curry, etc.
Yeah, thats what I was thinking :huh I think boxrec have Wlad Klitscko as their #1 P4P fighter in the world right now, so the system obviously is flawed.
No, but they do have Vazquez on top of Pac @ no.3 & 4 respectively. Anything that can be a threat to a mexican is not well liked, thus not fairly rewarded with their system...hmmm
This is the best article I've seen of his on the web. There is little footage of him on Youtube, hardly any of it in his WW prime. He was a very awkward fighter, very nimble on his feet, constantly moving to make a more difficult target. He also had very good head movement, and would slip his head almost simultaneously with his jab to avoid any counters. He's a fighter who I appreciate more the more I see of him. The best I can show you. http://cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/luisrod.htm In the black: [yt]qmdYmJtlRGk[/yt]
I know what ya mean, man. Everyone knows Mexico has no boxing tradition whatsoever and mexicans prefer basketball anyway. That's why all the stars in the NBA are mexican. :-(
And I bet if boxrec used their "cpu" for NBA player rankings, it wouldn't have ANY mexicans! Obviously extremely flawed.
