Can someone who has followed his career please tell me what kind of a fighter Green is because to me he looks like nothing more than a solid, basic boxer.

I have just watched his Miranda and Simms fights. He looks too relaxed in the ring - unimpressive handspeed, not concussive power

Personally i think Jermain Taylor is leagues above this guy. Maybe he will prove me wrong. I hope so because right now i see Ward walking over him

Green is a bit of a front runner IMO. If he can hurt you early on he looks like a great fighter but if he can't get you out of there in 4 rounds or so he shells up and gets frustrated.

Ward will make him look like the bum he is.

I'd agree pretty well with what Pimp C said. I think he's getting a bit underrated at the moment actually, he's a solid fighter. Not spectacular at any one thing but decent speed, power, movement, etc. Kind of like Calvin Brock in that sense.

I watched several of his fights leading up to the Miranda fight and that one was by far his worst showing, and not because of anything Miranda did, Green just showed up flat. He also had 85% of his colon removed a few months later so it's possible he wasn't feeling great at the moment.

Oh, and that **** where he looks at his shoes is infuriating. He really needs to figure that out.

I think Green can beat Ward.

Ward lunges in when he attacks, and Allan Green has a good counter left hook.

Green should be able to keep a decent distance between himself and Ward, and pressurize ward on the ropes.

    Green late KO

He's only lost the one time, and I really feel like that was more of him showing up flat that day than anything Miranda did.

To be fair, he had never fought at 162 until the Miranda fight and looked weight-drained. Green's a lot better than a C fighter.

But I still think Ward outboxes him to a UD.

huh... he only has one loss? and that wasn't by stoppage?

I guess your kinda right though, if by 'everytime' you mean that one time

If he gives Ward a tough fight we know he's for real, but i highly doubt it.

I would have preferd to see Bute in the super 6

Green has talent but unfortunately he hasn't done anything with it.

Everytime he remotely stepped up he has been struggling to scrape by his opponents.

McCrary, Linton & Simms comes to mind. Not to forget that he got outboxed by Miranda.

I definitely wouldn't say he's a C-level fighter for sure. I'm actually looking forward to seeing him against Ward & Kessler... that will determine for me if he's a B-level or an A-level, because right now I have some serious doubts.
