Allan Green calls out Dawson Article

Green was totally busted by Miranda. Afterwards he knocked out some no names and suddenly he was back in the big picture. It does not make any sense.

 

He wasnt totally busted, FFS he had Miranda down. he did not figth confidently. Say what you want Green can box and has good power when his head is on right.

 

Besides the 8 round, Green did not win anything. Classic one-sided fight. If you insist, I will rewatch it for it has been awhile. Maybe Green should fight someone like Ward or Dirrell. Those would be reasonable fights for him at this stage.

 

I agree, i think Green is underrated and when hes at 100%, he can compete with the elite from 168 to 175. I also felt he was weight drained against Miranda, plus the fact he had to have 85% of his colon removed.

With that being said, i think Dawson will have his way with him. As far as pure technical skills and athleticism, Dawson is way above Green plus hes naturally bigger and a southpaw to boot. And while people may question Chad's chin, Green's also seem to be a little shaky. He was almost stopped by Donny McCray and was knocked down a few more times in his career. This fight just doesn't look good for him.

 

I respect Chad’s skills as one of the best in the game, but I’m feeling so focused right now that I don’t see anybody, including Chad Dawson, doing much more than six rounds with me,” stated Green. In a recent interview Dawson’s promoter Gary Shaw named Green as a possible future opponent for Dawson, along with Jermain Taylor, Carl Froch, and Mikkel Kessler. “Give me a break,” said Green. “Nobody knows what’s going on with Kessler and Froch decided to take a vacation for the rest of the year so he can find the stones to fight me. Taylor has his sights set elsewhere. So that leaves me.” Green’s promoter Lou DiBella added “Tell Gary to bring it,” said . “If Chad is afraid of Glen Johnson and wants to move down- Allan is ready, willing, and able.”

He is right about Kessler.
