Is that the same Green management that Green had a falling out with?

Can you not put two and two together?

Ok...I'm done arguing with you; waste of time. Believe what you want.

ESPN wanted Green because his story is cute. A guy very sick coming back to fight for an world title. The problem with tv: they don't care about boxing, they care about the story behind.

    I don't want a Rocky film, I want a boxing fight!

60k or 100k and for a title on top of that, man i'm getting in that ring and fighting. Most people don't make that much in a year let alone for 45 min of work.

Every promoter will be weary of having their champion fight Green as a voluntary defence from now on; what if he pulls out at the last moment?

Green isnt looking to fight anyone right now. The guy is having a ton of problems with his management and is looking to get new deals.

But for the record, 100,000 isnt sh*t for a fight. When its two top ten guys fighting.

I agree that 100,000 isn't that much. It was a title shot too. Cannot see Green getting that many title shots soon...he won't be anyone's mandatory for a while...

Still, he clearly has some issues...wouldn't have been wise to step into the ring for anything like 100,000 with personal problems hanging over him.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the people that told you he was offered $60 000....THEY lied to you ! Interbox offered Green $100 000, there's no doubt about that !!

And why should he go to Montreal to fight for a $100 000 ?

1- Because he fights for the IBF belt which would be very profitable for him right away with his next fight if he wins of course !

2- Because ESPN were ready to bring their ass in Montreal if Green accepted the fight !!

Do you guys realize how little most fighters get ?
The best bet is to win a belt first, then the money follows ! Before boxers can fight without trying to claim belts, they have to get at least one to make a true name for themselves !!

Fighting Bute was a real step in that direction for Green !

You're probably right....I guess I need much more than 15 years being really into the sport and seeing all sides of boxing in action throughout...

    Cheers !
