I agree 100%. For $100,000 or even $60,000, if Allan's people beleive in him they should have taken the shot. It's not everyday you get that opportunity. If you win you are on top of the world with big paydays to come. If you lose, in a close fight, it doesnt hurt you too much. Back where he was on ESPN.

 

Why because Green is not ready for Bute at this stage of his career, and the 25.000.00 that he will end up with after paying off his , promoter , manager and trainer fees as well as the Taxes is hardly wort selling out your career for just to be a showcase of bute's talent.

Green has the potential to be allot better then he is nows that ..

It makes a hell of a lot of difference whether it's just hearsay this guy is sharing with us and his opinion about Larouche on the basis of that hearsay, or whether he is making an accusation on the basis of factual information he is in a privileged position to hold.

If this guy is stating a fact and that fact can be proved, Larouche and Interbox should be sued for the libelous claims and the resulting moral damage caused to Allan Green and his reputation.

 

Here is the thing. you have a bunch of Bute fans on this topic talking about Green isnt this and Green isnt that, he isnt top ten. So why do you cats want this fight soooo fuking bad for Bute??? That is a more interesting sitution then Green turning down a fight. Funnist part is had/if the fight does happen the very same people that are bad mouthing Green will be hyping him up if Bute were to beat him.

Just like I said to the Calzaghe fans, that are bad mouthing Hopkins now, if you only knew how stupid this makes you appear to the guys that could really dont care that much about either. I just sit back and read alot of Topic and dont bother to respond for this very reason. I Just wish some of you cats would actually think about what your writing.

And as far as Green not being top ten, well he is ranked in the top 12 by all but the WBA so that is close enough. And he is a bigger name then just about everyone ranked outside of the top 4.

And to the guy that said people dont understand how much boxers make.....Ill tell you this. In a 1999 issue of ring there was an article about boxing economy and fighters that are ranked from 1-5 north of 140 pounds make on average 185,000k(us) per fight, those ranked from 6-10 make 130,000k(us). And it also said if you take away the guys that are outside of the top 20 boxing make on average above 140, 260,000k(us) per fight. That was in 1999 almost ten years ago.

 

I want this fight for the same reason I want the Lacy fight...it would allow Bute to become well-known and rated in the USA. This would help set up a fight with Taylor.:good
