Up until the time that Tony Holden and Allan Green split up (I think about a year ago) how do you think his career was handled?

He has ducked Bute twice already. He also turned down 600K to fight Pavlik. Not to mentioned be bailed on Echols on less then 24 hours notice (which caused him a suspension). He also turned down fights against Andre Ward and many others.

To me he is a guy with decent talent and power that got ruined by his promoter by keeping him as the face of ESPN (13 Friday Night Fights) and not taking any other opportunites.

It has been handled poorly but at least his name is known widely enough for people to have boxing forums about him.

    That topic was not
"Joe Smoh, how was his career handled?"
Because we don't know who that is.

Amazing he had 13 ESPN shows and that is the only memory people have of Allan Green.

Why? More money for Bute to fight Pavlik and Bute is on Kelly's road map.

If he is still listening to Greg Leon, he is as good as done.

Pavlik said he will wait for 2011 before moving in weight , maybe i'm wrong . I hope your right ,i will prefer to see Bute facing Pavlik but Green his a decent fight wile Bute's waiting for bigger thing!

He has mastered the Ronald Winky Wright method of career managment.

I heard a local interview a while back with Lowe. He stated Bute was on the road map they had laid out. Their position is that training is most of the fight. You train just as hard for any fighter. That is where most of the wear and tear comes into play. So at this stage, why not just go for bigger fights? Less per year, but bigger? That was the plan before the staph infection screwed things up.

Allen Green and his management are afraid to take risks. When they did he ended up losing. Green still has an outside chance to pick up an alphabet belt, but he must really work on his footwork. I remember watching him on Friday night fights awhile back, and he damned near looked down at his feet every 5 seconds.

Green has made a career off the Codrington. If that fight doesnt happen we dont know who Green is.
