How about getting back in the ring with Marinda.. I guess he forgot about that ass whipping.. He has to make up for that loss for me to some what take him serious...
Lajuan Simon, Elvin Ayala, Wayne Elcock (not young but undeserving), Khoren Gevor, Sebastian Demers, etc. You are correct that he deserves a chance as much as any number of near bums and mediocre half talents that get title opps.
Those are all examples of the **** that makes Boxing look small time. Why would we openly want more of that?
Nah nah nah :nono . . . he can't even beat Miranda whom Pavlik and Abraham made look like a sack of potato. . . . he should earn his crack at any title.
No argument there. That is why you have Valuev 50-1, Sven Ottke 34-0, Tye Fields 41-2, Joe Calzaghe 46-0, Arthur Abraham 28-0, Kessler 41-1, etc. Combined these fighters post a 98.36% winning percentage. Based upon their success, one might assume that they walk on water or something. An amazing statistical dominance, no? Far superior to Tiger Woods + Michael Jordan + anybody. lol Of course, some of the records are comparatively more legit than others, maybe. But, the point that Green deserves a title shot as much as dozens of guys who got title shots on the above glossy records is what it is.
My point isn't whether Green is as qualified as a bunch of cans or would be cans. My point is that just because a bunch of schmoes got a title shot doesn't make it right. It's this sorta **** that rewards guys like John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman, Marco Antonio Rubio and such title shot after title shot.
Your point is clear. Not advocating allowing any more so-called champions ducking the best, picking their spots, choosing opponents only after someone else has exposed that fighter or shown the way to beat them, selecting unqualified fighters or only fighting great fighters when they are old men. It is everything that is wrong with pro boxing and why a lot of successful fighters are overrated by neophytes or non-athletes/armchair sport fans.
Right, he belong in this group. He is a real bum. You can't be floored by Donny Mcrary and call yourself an elite fighter.
He seem to have only one fan in here and its Finito the green plant. Allan Green should apply to be a shoe store manager, he could be very successful in this kind of business
