If he has any chance of advancing to the next round. Green has two things going for him: power and toughness. He was thoroughly out-classed by Ward but Ward also made beating Mikkel Kessler look easy.
Mikkel Kessler is arguably the most well-rounded, seasoned middleweight in Europe today. His two losses were to Joe Calzaghe and Andre Ward, both excellent fighters. In his last outing he defeated Carl Froch to take both Froch’s “0″ and his WBC belt. Kessler is a strong fighter with good pop and a good chin, but most of all he is a technically sound. With his superior skills and methodical approach, there is little doubt in my mind that Kessler will be able to establish his jab and box Green from the outside for the most part. Green should be able to find a way inside and make a brawl of it. Green is a puncher, but so is Carl Froch. Froch hits as hard or harder than Green, and he landed a good amount of blows on Kessler’s chin. Kessler was stunned at times, but never seriously hurt. My prediction is Mikkel Kessler UD12. Thoughts!

I don't think Kessler's ever been down and TBH I think he has a solid chin and alot of mental toughnes.

I don't see Green winning this fight much less by KO

If Green beats Kessler and Abraham beats Froch, Green is in whether or not he gets a knockout. Green, Kessler and Froch would all be tied with 2 points, and Green would own the tiebreaker over Kessler, who owns the tiebreaker over Froch.

That said, I'll be shocked if the fight is even competitive.

It's not very Intelligent for Green to brawl with an iron chined hard puncher like Kessler. Kessler was never down as a pro.
    I can't see Green survive 12 rounds .
Kessler needs the KO and he will get it.

Kessler is going to KO/TKO him. Green's done. So so dissapointed with his last performance. Even if he did overtrain, that performance was still discusting.

From the little I've seen of Green, color me highly unimpressed. A lot of trash talk, little boxing skills, excuses for losing.

    great post....
    75% UD for Kessler
    20% KO for Kessler
    05% KO for Green

Green doesnt really belong in this tournament. He doesnt seem to have the skills and determination to be an A class fighter. He has a puncher's chance against Kessler, but Kessler's got a serious chin. Green would have to have a fight of his life WHILE Kessler is having an off night lol...

agreed. This I've stated from the beginning. Green does not look like he's in the same grade as any of the other Super 6.

like a brawler, he's gonna have to stay in the pocket, open up and take risks. Thats the only way he's gonna get a KO and win. And if he gets KO'd in the process, at least he fought with ballz. If he doesnt take risks, he's just gonna get outclassed by Kessler, and possibly broken down...

Exactly. I dont understand why this kid had so much hype surrounding him.

He is terrible every time i watch him. Im still baffled to why Bika didnt end up taking Taylors spot. He would have made this tournament so interesting.

This. To be honest I wish Jermain stayed in it. Taylor beat Hopkins twice so I imagine Taylor could've dealt with Wards billygoat style pretty well.
