    From Dan Rafael's chat...

    -----------------------

    Jay Perry (allentown )

    what about Sakio Bika

    Dan Rafael (1:14 PM)

Glad you asked. Here's a little tidbit for the freaks that I heard about last night and made some calls on this morning: Golden Boy has an offer out to match Bika against Allan Green for the Mayweather-Marquez undercard. I would say the odds of it happening are not great because it's not the best money. Also, Green has a possible fall ShoBox date on the table he can take to stay ready because he is the No. 1 choice to be in the tournament if there is a fallout and this would get him ready for that possibility, especially in the event that Ward or Kessler lose in September before the tourney starts.

    -----------------------

Interesting match up. Who would you favor if it comes off?

Interesting fight. Super middle is becoming a bit of a glamour division.

we've all seen what a journey man did to Green once.
just imagine what a right hand over the top from Bika would.
i've seen that from him recently, but i don't remember who against
(was that Manfredo?); ok Bika almost got himself ko-ed but that's because
he was caught open, but still i was impressed with the power
    in the right hand.
if anything hes got it to ktfo Green. and besides he's got his head with him.

Bika against Green is a fight I want to see . The supermiddleweights continue to put other divisions to shame . As for the conrest I do think it will hinge on how Green respondes to to Bika`s trench warfare any thing goes approach .I would go for Green slightly though ,just a cleaner better puncher .

This is jsut the kind of fight Green needs if he wants to try and get to the next level.

    I'm a huge Green fan.
But this fight is not good for him at all.
    I'd say it's a terrible match up.

You've got a guy in Bika that can take a punch and keep on coming forward. Then add the fact that he packs a wallop.
He's like a slightly lower model of Andrade.

Green struggled against Donnie McCrary.... a rugged fighter that can take a punch and will keep on trading with you. Well, Bika is a much better version of what McCrary was doing to fuddle Green.

This undercard gets really, really good if Bute - Andrade II is still there also.

although i think green would win there's a possibility of bika getting to him late with relentless pressure making this not the wisest choice for green considering the options he has

If you're a Bika fan you should be screaming for this fight to happen.

The type of style that can break down Green is the exact type of style that Bika will be bringing.

Here's what's going to happen. Bika is going to jump on Green right away, closing the distance as soon as the opening bell rings. Green's going to struggle to keep Bika at bay. He might be successful in spurts but it's going to fail at times. That is going to frustrate the easily frustrated Green.
While Green has shown that he can get tired and spotty in late stretches of fights, Bika's going to remind all that he doesn't (at least not to the extent that Green does).

Bika will win via TKO if this happens.

As a Green fan I'll admit that I don't want this fight to happen. Some styles are bad match ups. There's alot of fights out there that Green can really impress with and boost his stock. If he takes this fight, he'll lose the gains he made.

I thought that was just a brief rumor, was it ever officially slated?
