    Allegations against Ward :-
Ward was allowed to headbutt Kessler 5 times and elbow him on 4 occasions without the intervention of the American judge, this ended up with a doctor stopping the fight because of a headbutt suffered by Kessler.

    Allegation against Wards Team :-
There is a requirement for neutral officials and judges in the competition, yet in the Ward v Kessler fight, the Californian Ward not only had home town advantage he also had a Californian referee and initially two of the three judges were also Californian, one of the judges was replaced after the Kessler camp raised concerns over the neutrality of the officiating crew, there was also a concern that the WBA might not have sanctioned the bout for Kessler’s title.

Allegation against the Super six tournement organisers :-
Why is Andre Ward the only boxer in the tournement that has three home fights, the other guys all have to travel, this is unfair and biased to the American boxer .

That one is easy. Wards the only fighter who has two future opponents from his country. Where else would those fights be held?

Probably not, ive noticed alot of people simply going off word of mouth about things like low blows and elbows. Headbutts did happen, but 5 of them? No. And the cut under the right eye was absolutely caused by a punch in round 4 and not a head butt.

Threads like this pick up steam when I enter them lol...becuase I keep it real along with Deano and others lol... Waht up Deano. Anyway, the butts were unintentional. Ward was kicking Kesslers ass well before the first butt which Kessler caused at the end of round 3 or 4(memory) in which you can clearly see Ward signaling to ref, and Ward dominated the fight. Don't worry about Kessler's cry baby fans. Kessler clearly lost.

Kessler still lost the fight. Regardless of the tactics. He got outboxed, even though ward was obviously using his head liberally.

Tend to agree with some of this.....the ref and judges should have been from other countries......Kessler still lost......but the point still stands about the ref and judges :deal

Only one judge was American. The other two were from Sweden and South Africa.

This guy is a moron. Three judges Mikael Hook is from Sweden, Stanley Christodoulou is from South Africa, Steve Morrow is the only American judge.

Maybe one shouldnt take every thing one reads in a newspaper article as the truth.

the tourny was set up by Sauerland who is a German based promoter, and the guy that promotes AA and its said that he will also promote Kessler once his contract is up.

Why is AA and Kessler not fighting one another in the prelims??? This thing was set up to get Kessler and AA to the finals, but they made a mistake and asked Ward to be a part of the super six. Many of us saw that as a huge roadblock for what Sauerland wanted as an end result.

Stop cring and deal with it, to be honest none of what your talking about played a major role in the outcome of the fight. At the end of the day Kessler was outclassed and dominated. starting in the 7th round his corner was asking him if he wanted to fight on.

The AMERICAN referee stated after the fight that he counted five 'accidental' headbuts by Ward on Kessler.

(I only saw three as I haven't had time to rewatch it).

And he definitely elbowed Kessler at least twice.

Did YOU watch the fight ?

One judge was American. CSAC rules require the ref to be certified by the commission, which requires reffing fights in California on a regular basis, which means that most CSAC refs also live in California, or close by.

Ward has two more fights against Americans where he will obviously be fighting at home, and then he'll have to step out of his comfort zone when he moves on to the next round. That's the beauty of the tournament, any particular injustices you think happened will likely be redeemed later.
