Well that's kind of what happened.

I'm not wrong. While Froch was on the back burner, the plan was Green then Andrade. This is pretty well known.

 

I doubt that because Green was a risk and not enough reward. Why didn't Bute fight Andrade immediately after their first fight?

Green was a risk and not a reward? It would've been on Showtime and probably in Montreal, where Bute could fight a dwarf and make cash. Risk and reward played little into it at that point.

As per not rematching Andrade, Andrade wound up getting a mandatory challengers fight against Tyspko while Bute wanting to take some time off. Bute wound up against Zuniga and a short while later (a month?) Andrade beat Tsypko. Andrade said he's having some elbow issues and was missing his family and wanted to take some time off to get those issues cleared up. Andrade ALSO said he wanted another fight before Bute to make sure he was 100% for it. The plan was for Oct and the key was to just find a buffer fight for both guys. Andrade against somebody and Bute against the DeLeon/Green winner. Green won impressively, the rubber hit the road and Green backed away because he wanted Froch. Froch said "I want to unify" and there ya go..all caught up.

 

Since you know so much about Bute, how close is Bute-Froch to being signed? Won't Andrade being a mandatory get in the way?

 

Now I'm also doubting that Froch-Bute will happen next.

It ain't signed but all point that it will happen in september in Nottingham.
If not the Andrade rematch.

I didn't say I was close to anyone did I? I just happen to follow the SMW division closely since it's AMAZING and the Green vs Bute discussions were very much out in the open for a while.

As per Andrade getting in the way, if he really is injured, he can simply ask for a injury exemption which would grant him an extension. Alexander Povetkin got one when he tripped over a tree trunk training for Wlad in December.

Also depending on which organization we're talking about (IBF is it?), we may have different mandatory deadlines. I know one organization is 8 months for a mandatory, another one is 16 etc etc.

 

Bute smash Allan "stare at my feet" Green anywhere anytime...He already tried to get him 3 TIMES but Green chickened out...

 

I agree, Bute is a fearsome fighter with KO power in either hand and tremendous stamina. Nobody want none of Bute.

Andrade remains the mandatory regardless of who has the title at that point. Not that hard.

 

I heard that Green was offered a fight with Bute but turned it down because he wanted to fight Froch or something like that. Not sure how credible it is though. I like Green and i don't see anyone in the top 10 having an easy time with him, unless Mr Dawson decides to pay 168 a visit.
