Green is already a gatekeeper. He's history, not heart, has a too high opinion of himself, like Finito. If Miranda the gatekeeper can beat him, Bute, Froch, Kessler, Dirrell, Ward and Andrade can beat him. He's good for the new comer like Adonis or Jean Pascal but aside from that, he's nothing special. Wide, poor defensive skill and heartless in not a good mix, add to this a big lack of discipline and mental strength, its not looking good for him in the future. His better years are behind him. He has already reach his full potential and its not impressive at all.
Unfortunately for Green, the loss to Miranda gives other top contenders a chance to not face him!! There are so many good boxers to fight in this division, if he can notch 2/3 up against the Lacy's/Pascal's of the world, then people will have to take notice. I wouldn't give him much chance against Kessler. I'd make him a live underdog against Ward, Bute and Taylor, and would probably favour him over everyone else....including Froch.
Don't forget that this guy spent 9 and a 1/2 rounds waiting and hesitating to jab against Pantera Miranda. Sure he has a big punch and is a great finisher but it has to come along with mental strength and drive to win no matter how. He can step up and make it competitive but he's some steps away from overcoming those obstacles... Or else, why was not Miranda successful?
